The movie ends exactly how you would expect it to. There is no shirt more 90s than that t-shirt. Alexia channels Cher Horowitz minus all the self-awareness and humor that made the latter great. This movie also clearly attempted to replicate some aspect of the Clueless cool that filtered down to middle America in the form of frosted lipstick and knee socks. Speaking of high school preordained social hierarchy, both girls have socially acceptable love interests. Friends are also given similar treatment in that Alexia’s friends are more frenemies who don’t actually care about her, while Hayley’s one friend is more interested in fitting in. The teachers all have their own baggage and quirks that all lead them to ignore the obvious problems the girls are facing. Why do the adults not intervene in any of the girls’ hijinks? The adult Wheatons are psychologists who are trying to teach the girls valuable lessons about adulthood and maturity. It also sort of addresses some plot points that often bother me in similar body switching movies. I don’t have sisters, so I believe this is pretty much how sister friendships evolve. Through their super PG attempts to ruin each other’s lives (“Alexia Hayley Wheaton is a wench!”) they learn about each other and grow closer, as TV tells me sisters do. Hayley wishes she was as pretty and socially adept as Alexia. Alexia wishes she was as smart and talented as Hayley. They have nothing in common, but also probably everything. As with all good body swaps, the sisters are contentious rivals who never understand each other but who also both secretly desire what the other has. Katherine Heigl played popular Winter Princess sister, Alexia Wheaton, bitchy to and snarling at her younger sister Hayley (played by burgeoning scream queen and child star Danielle Harris) who was of course grungy and nerdy and who also secretly idolized her older sister. It featured body switching hijinks and sibling rivalry, which are pretty solid plot points in the kid movie genre.

They were everything to the pre-Internet kid.įor girls who had cable and were in their early teens in the late 90s, Wish Upon a Star was a quintessential 90s teen TV movie. These Disney movies recycled plots, wardrobes, movie sets, and supporting casts. It capitalized on slightly lower tier teen stars, the Andrew Keegans and Katherine Heigls, not the JTTs and Christina Riccis who were dominating the kid-oriented box office. Wish Upon a Star was one of the Disney movies that were deemed family friendly enough to play incessantly throughout the late 90s. I got the smaller one just to try it out but will definitely be purchasing the larger one next time.Remember when Katherine Heigl wasn’t an often maligned TV star/rom-com maven? Remember when the Disney Channel had TV movies with budgets and plots that befit their low quality, limited audience reach, and very targeted appeal? This product retails at £6.95 for 120g or for the larger size £12.95 which is for 250g. I would highly recommend this scrub it's gorgeous and works!

With it smelling citrusy it really wakes you and your skin up! I massaged it in for a minute or so then splashed it off with water. Gorgeous!! The grains of salt seemed to melt away so the scrub is not too abrasive on your skin! And the oils are very softening and smoothing on the skin. I washed my face with my normal cleanser la Roche posay. So I gave this scrub a bash this morning and I have to say I LOVED it!!
#I WISH UPON A STAR MOVIE FULL#
It is full of yummy ingredients which include grapefruit oil, Coconut oil and lime oil!! On the tub it says lashings of fine sea salt to scrub and clean, organic limes to brighten and avocado butter to soften skin. I dont like scrubs to be too harsh eg grains to scratchy and big!! Like st Ives apricot scrub. Ive tried a few which were ok but nothing special. I've been on the lookout for a good facial scrub for a few months now. I was watching one of karrisx's YouTube videos and she recommended this scrub. I would defo recommend this if u love sweet scents. The bottle is very classy and looks fab on my dressing table. I did a little research on the perfume and it contains notes of benzoin which is from a tree and this gives the perfume a spicy smell it is used lots in perfumes. Obviously not as strong but it was there! If u love scents like Britney Spears fantasy or radiance, Miss Dior, flower bomb by Viktor Rolf or some of the Juicy Couture perfumes you will love this! The scent lasts too I sprayed it last night and could still smell it this morning. I've walked past and tested it on numerous occasions so as there was a sale on I decided to get it.

I have wanted this perfume for a while now. I bought the small bottle as the large one was still £60 and didnt want to spend that amount. I picked this up at Debenhams yesterday as they had 10% off all perfumes and cosmetics.
